Landscapes

I am on vacation this week, so my landscape photos have all been taken here in Daytona Beach.
They were taken with my Canon PowerShot A2500.

I was lucky enough to take these from various points in the day, Daytona is a beautiful place to visit.

Rule of Thirds

So I wanted to practice a little so my first two images are of a tree, Then I decided to bring my dog Riley in for some photo ops since he loves having his picture taken!

The photo of the tree in the center lacks depth and is rather boring. The one on the right using the rule of thirds gives the photo more depth and is much more appealing.

#1 This photo has more to look at and having the subject a little off center helps to balance the image.

This photo is nice but lacks balance and depth. #2

Framing

This week I chose a few different things to frame. From flowers in the garden to a couple of my pets.

Part 2:

Lighting from different angles. I used the fire pit outdoors and captured it at different times throughout the day.
Early morning, top lighting

Mid day, side lighting

Late afternoon, no sun

Night, with flash

Monochrome:
I wanted to take some photos of my cat Avery, she has beautiful shades of brown in her fur. These are a few of my favorites.

I chose to also do a complimentary photo using a tractor light.

Compare and Contrast

This is my favorite image, it really gives the essence of the motorcycles size and beauty with the light sparkling off of it. It also has the road ahead which makes the photo seem like it has endless possibilities.

I like this photo as well because it has the beautiful blues sky which symbolizes the freedom a motorcycle has.  It also shows the curves of the bike.
