Week 7 Selection Tools
This week I used GIMP to edit two photos. I used the move tool to reposition one photo on top of another. I cropped the flower photo, and made it transparent using the Alpha channel. I used both lasso and rectangle tools with the delete key to make the flower image appear as though it is floating in the clouds. I learned how to use many of the tools during this exploration of GIMP.

Beautiful. One doesn't usually see a dandelion against clouds, and the unexpectedness makes it striking. It feels like a visual metaphor.
ReplyDeleteI really like the color contrasting! Definately makes the dandelion very vibrant against the clouds! GOOD job!! I too will be working more within the tools and techniques of the photoshop program. :)
ReplyDeleteExcellent work! Simple and effective. Beautiful photos on their own as well....Keep working with these tools and don't stop here. You will get better at it and it will get much more fun as you get better at it.
