Portraits

Not a traditional portrait but I liked they way this photo framed the dog, I played with brightness and contrast to get a silhouette effect.

On this photo I removed some logos from the t-shirt by using the Clone tool and the smudge tool. I balanced the brightness and contrast and balanced the color.

On this photo I adjusted the color, and brightness. Then I used the dodge and burn tool to darken the center of the eyes because they where reflecting green. I also darkened the reflection on the nose and lip.

  1. I love the two pictures of the dogs. The first is cool because the dog is just an outline which I always find interesting. In the last one the dog has such a great expression and I like the way the depth of field works nicely.

  2. I love how you went outside the box and did portraits of more than people! I love portraits of animals!! I usually take portraits of my pets, but this time I went figured I would do something I do not normally do and take more photos of people! Great job!

  3. Good work....Be careful of the background...You have the column coming straight down into the dog's head. Otherwise a good idea. The last image is the best. The dog is relaxed and happy. This is what you are trying to accomplish when capturing anyone's image. Help your subject to become relaxed and comfortable with your presence with the camera. All the rest will flow from there.
